Mr. Sy joined the UCLA Investment Company in 2012 and provides ongoing monitoring of the attributions of performance and risk of the endowed investment pool against various benchmark measurements and market indices. Having worked at the UCLA Foundation since 2008 as Fund Accountant, Mr. Sy interacts closely with fund managers, fund administrators, and the investment team. Prior to joining UCLA, Mr. Sy was a Senior Auditor at PricewaterhouseCoopers and a financial advisor at Merrill Lynch.
Mr. Sy received his Master’s in Accounting degree from the University of Southern California and is a Certified Public Accountant in California. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation and holds the CIPM certificate.
